We have been installing category 5 and category 6 cables for over 14 years. When one of America's leading structured cabling manufacturers Ortronics first moved into the UK market in the late 1990's, our engineers were some of the first to undertake the certification program, flying to Connecticut USA to attend the course. Since then we have added Excel, Ultima and Pressac to our range of certifiable products.

 Installation

We have experience in installations from 1 to 10,000 points, from small additional works right through to campus installations and new builds. Our cable teams are CSCS registered, carry IPAF cards for working at height, and we have method statements and risk assessment documentation where required. Our cable technicians wear a plain uniform and drive modern unmarked vehicles, presenting themselves as your staff. We can work with you to plan a national cable installation rollout, such as a high street chain, or a single location install.

When we first started in the telecoms business structured cabling was a rarity and traditional telecoms cable (CW1308) coupled with thin Ethernet was the norm. Our experience with these legacy cables ensures high quality installations when using overheads, undergrounds, internal and external runs for both traditional extension cabling and voice backbones.

Our experience with fibre installation and termination also dates back many years. In the early days we used a fusion splicer costing nearly £5000 to terminate our fibre installations. Times have moved on and fibre is much more economical and more prevalent. We now use a chemical termination system which is quick, secure and durable.
